Just because you didn't see him doesn't mean he wasn't there.
FYI, the GM's (and guides) can go invisible and Zyryth usually was when logged onto the server. Unless you had a petition or needed to talk with him, you would have no real reason to see him.
I talked with him every day. I've also had the opportunity to hang out with him in RL.
