What's the story on the BP mold? Thought we didn't get any... or is it just that the combine won't work? Or was there a stealth fix?

Combine returns an incorrect item ID. Nirron won the BP, combined it and got a LoY "Blackened Eye" item in return. Basically, Rallos Zek punched Nirron in the eye.
