Does anyone here know of a fix that will get sattelite broadband to launch EQ ? It's my only broadband option right now, and I cant get it to work.... the lag/latency seems to be an issue. The LP launches without a problem, but when I hit "Play" it delivers a "unable to launch, error #0" error message. Most satellite broadband technologies work where incoming packets are sent over the satellite reciever, but outgoing packets are sent over your phone lines. Is it possible that you don't have an established dialup connection at time of session initiation?<br /><br />My sister is getting satellite (DirectWay) installed at her place out in the boonies next week - they have a brand new technology now that sends both signals through the satellite.<br /><br />In any case - I've noticed that EQ seems to have a very short window for making a connection to the world server. If I hit "login" at the password screen and watch TV for 15 seconds while it's loading the "Play Now" screen I've gotten "unable to contact server" messages.<br /><br /><br />--

The system from which Im trying to connect is a DirecWay system as well.... and also out in the boonies (I wake to coyotes singing to the setting moon at dawn). DirecWay is saying that it's a Sony issue. Youre right, there's a really short connection window, and that seems to be where the hang up (unable to connect) happens.
