Since I'm at work and haven't had a chance to test yet. Has anyone of you guys tested the new patch yet? I've been reading about a large number of crashes over at EQmac.com and the new Sony forums. Of course that would be from the people with issues. Its nasty. I played fine for an hour or two after the patch, but camping out to turn off sound froze up the game. Logged back in 30 min later, and have not been able to get past the toon select screen.<br /><br /><br />Danidianya Whitestar

I'm currently locked out as well. Crashes to the desktop whenever I get to the character select screen.<br /><br /><br />Nihilists! Fuck me. I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos.<br>

I haven't tried the new patch yet, so I can't comment on that, but one thing that worked during beta was to open the "game" folder, sort the items by date modified, then delete the non .ini files. Basically, force the update server to repatch your client. The .ini files, and some log files are modified every day, and save your client and character settings, such as window position, hotkeys, etc., and bazaar and chat logs if those are enabled, so DON'T delete those.<br /><br />The next time you open Everquest LP, do a complete file check.<br /><br />-Nifurn<br /><br /><br />Have you hugged your paladin today?
