Ya all is going pretty well. I graduated from Tyler School of Art, I spent my first 6 months pounding the ground in New York trying to sell my illustrations to art directors. Now that they know me by name at the New York Times lobby I'm interviewing at various graphic design positions in the area. Have several interviews over the holiday weekend with most places hiring to start in the New Year. So till than I'm still working that part time retail job I held during school, and doing minor freelancing as it can be very trying and difficult to work as an Illustrator full time! All and all I hope to be in a stable non-retail position by the New Year. And once again I find myself drawn to EQ again. I must say I enjoyed WoW quite a bit but we "beat" it too fast. My guild was level 60s within the first month, first to kill Onyxia, and pounding Molten Core and Blackwing lair is just boring. I don't know what it is about it but it was fun as hell to level but after words you feel like you've been playing by yourself for the most part. I don't think I would have even ended up in a guild if it wasn't people I already knew from UO and EQ that set up a guild in Proudmoore. The end game isn't there. The lockout on raid zones sucks when you have a guild over 40 people too. We had 60 from the get go - and grew to about 80. It's difficult to actively raid when you have to race your own guildmates for a spot in the raid because the game doesn't allow for more than 40. That and the items coming out of those zones don't really make you go "OMG I need that!" The risk vs reward doesn't balance well at all and you see people coming out of 5 and 20 man zones with cooler looking and only marjinally lesser items with less effort. I think the beginning of the end was how long we spent on Onyxia to be the first to down her and we were, only to get helmets off of her with NO GRAPHICS!! We go back and read the quotes on the site about "If you beat a dragon people will know it!" BAH!!!! Playing again is more about time than anything else. So I may peak my head in sooner or later.
