I trust this DC-tagged person, they have high integrity. As long as they're the only person with the account, while it's against our guild rules, it's also a special situation. (And none of your business -- but you repeatedly demanded your answer.) I also trust the Temerity person.<br /><br /><br />Anyways Glimi, at the end of the day the fact is that this account you're so wound up about, the person WELL knew that people in Tem knew the login password. If they are sitting around hoping for continuing to get free AA's, they really don't have a leg to stand on to get all offended about it. Basic logic.<br /><br />That's the "fact" here.<br /><br />You don't like it, change your password, don't come here throwing vague accusations around about how we *might* be doing evil things with the account. Saying that there are members within Temerity that hate Happy and would like to see her account banned is not the same thing as saying TERMITY wants to get her account banned. I have repeatedly said that Temerity officers have NOTHING to do with it, and it was individuals who are tagged Temerity, and that Kyth was trying to help by giving me that warning. Why when I repeatedly say this, why does Kyth keep misquoting me that I said Temerity wanted to get her account banned? That seems to me to be inflammatory--trying to imply that I insulted the honor of Temerity's leadership or something. <DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Kyth says that the DC individual with the account info is honorable. OK, doh, I figured it out, it's Karpan who can log Lore? Is that right? He probably should not have that access, but if you feel it doesn't harm Temerity in anyway, well that's your chosing. When I know former DC members who I KNOW hate Happy have access to DC toons I kinda think that's not right. I do not truly know if they are all honorable. I know for sure some are, but I suspect others of wishing Happy harm. And yes I am worried about mischief they could cause. If I felt they were all honorable this never would of come up or if Happy wasn't one of my dear friends it wouldn't of come up. Yes, she needs to stop it. I agree with that, I've told her that, I've begged her not to say anything /anything deragatory about anyone or anything. </DIV><br />

Probably not; but for as long as it's well known by everyone that they have the password, and for as long as <i>the person with the DC account is telling them it's okay to log it in</i>..... why are you here?<br /><br />You're just trying to stir up trouble by beating this dead horse. Go take it up with that person who for a long time was saying it was fine to log in their char.<br /><br /><br />When we had concerns about how the Tem-tagged char was being used, we went to the two people involved. *Not* to dc.com. Felt I might as well add my 2 copper's worth to the mix:<br><br>For starters let me say that Claric holds strong opinions. He is the kind to care deeply and therefore feel strongly. I think nearly all us have seen this but I only state it as a matter of opnion. Contest if you need to but it wont change mine or any others, so best to spend your time elsewhere. I respect that he feels hurt, violated, that his account was used inappropriately. Whomever did and however justified they felt it was, you hurt someone who was generous with his time let alone his (player) identity. You hurt that kind of trust that develops among players and we all suffer.<br><br>If you could set feelings aside and look objectively two things emerge: 1. Yes the tone would be so different than it is now. 2. There is a logic to these postings even as people crack jokes (some good ones mind you), get defensive, etc...<br><br>With respect to the second point, well that is the word isn't it? Respect! We aren't showing it nearly as much as we should. Claric felt disrespected but the motive was that he respects that people come here and read this forum with the intent of doing right. No, not everyone, but enough. Where there are DC that aren't showing respect yes the officers may be able to handle it. Where there are Tem, the same thing could apply. But it's not a perfect system and often when we try and go inter-guild on conflict resolution we tend to take a side based on what is often an arbitrary designation in many respects. I am trying to avoid quoting Shakespeare on this but the man was right whether it smells sweet or putrid. <br><br>Yes, this matter will be best fixed by passwords and unfortunately paranoia. But see it as a cautionary tale those who may have done wrong. There might be a better way to handle things next time. See it as a learning experience all that when you see someone doing something that's PnP in your guild that you call them out on it. Officers, you signed on for that job. Sorry about that. Now if you can just get them to feel sorry too. Better, to communicate it.<br><br>Placer<br><br>P.S. I coudn't agree with Yoda more. I have been saying it a bunch lately, we should raid together. If the guilds can set aside partiality even sometimes it gets you thinking of Al'Kabor as a larger group. More than just the people with your tags. Walk a mile in someone else's rain soaked sandals and see how much better you will get along!<br><br />

Summary: I do think of Al`Kabor as a larger group, but that doesn't mean I want to every raid to be with the entire server. I enjoy our close-knit raiding crew and the miracles we can pull off because we know each other so well and assimilate new people slowly. I know for a fact we'd have wiped far far more if we couldn't trust each other implicitly and if we all didn't have so much time in the "saddle" knowing who would do what when the shit hit the proverbial fan.<P>
Please don't assume that everyone who doesn't just want to join a raiding collective must be selfish, "afraid" that their position will be threatened, uninterested in the community, etc.<P>
