Hiya Temerity,

I have not logged onto EQ MAC for months now. I just can not justify buying a MAC to play EQ. I have returned to Test server on the PC side though and have greatly enjoyed the new expansion Lost Dungeons of Norrath.

It seems you guys are doing great and I wish you continue good fortunes. I am sorry for not responding to a few e-mails a few months back. I had stopped checking this e-mail account. If anyone wishes to contact me I can be reached at brian452@hotmail.com.

Good luck and I hope you are enjoying the MAC server.

P.S. Any news if LoY or LDoN will be released for the MAC?

Bufr Shaman of War

Bufr Shaman of War

No, given the population of the server (or more accurately the lack of population), EQMac is effectively solid state for the foreseeable future. Which isn't such a bad thing. No nerfs will be coming down the pike, and there's still way more content than we'll ever be able to get to. Kind of hurts that they won't port LDoN to us though, since it looks like they got something right with that xpack (LoY I could care less about).

We were about to try our first dragon. The one in Cobalt Scar. But Ciel, our most active enchanter retired. The guild's gotten much bigger, and we've had some accomplishments though.

Nihilists! Fuck me. I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos.
LoY has some great pally and Cleric healing spells. Also temperance would go a long way to helping us in raids. 1100 HP bonus from a level 44 cleric. That and a froggie paladin would be fun

Tofu - Dorf Paladin Extraordinaire
Magelo Profile
Master Smith (188)Master Potter (162)Master Cook (135)Master Tailor (158)Master Brewer (187)Master Fletcher (182)Master Jeweler (183)
We've started hunting the Kael Arena and Dragon Necropolis, and we've gotten quite adept at dropping Lozdial. Getting him slowed is the only part that involves much danger.

With a Shaman of your capacity, we could be going after some bigger things much more easily. If you ever change your mind about getting a Mac, send an email to one of us, several members have access to special purchase plans that can save quite.

-- Bastette of Medivh
-- Bastette of Al'Kabor
I will make an effort this weekend to log out. My father has a MAC that runs EQ but it is a 40 minute drive to get there. I am sory to here about the population issue. While I play on Test to have that small server feel I gain the benefit of the larger populations from the production server.

Has there been little movement in the population totals? Has it grow any since I left?

Bufr Shaman of War

Yeah theres growth but its not at a breakneck speed. We seem to have an overabundance of certain classes and very few of others.

_______________________________________________

Can Dual Wield AND carry a dozen donuts.-

Give up that bitter black urine men call coffee. It's been very hard for some people to get xp groups (tanks mostly) with the lack of clerics and enchanters. We've done a Lodi run with me slowing (30%), which is pretty impressive. We've sort of had to adapt to not having certain things, and having too many of others (beastlords, rangers, nukers).

Nihilists! Fuck me. It seems that, in general, the Mac population is more mature, ie, older, than the PC servers. this has the general benefit of (duh) more maturity, but the curse that often college or family will take them away from the game.
Well I bought a Lottery ticket today. If I win the 63 million I will definitely buy a couple of MACs and return.

Probably start up of cleric or chanter though. I would really like to try one of those classes.

Bufr Shaman of War

Hehe, Bingo! I might be back during winter break or spring break, but with school commitments I don't have the time to give, and continuing to play would be like having a gym membership but not using it for 2 months.
Anyway, I'm seeing lots of new faces everyday, but that could just be alternates. The server is deathly hurting for rogues, shamans and monks.
