Sounds like tons of fun, ive suggested several times we kill the Sleeper....the day i dont do soemthing i would like to so as not to inconvienence DC is the day Briz goes on Ebay. At some point on every server Sleeper dies. Its a normal and natural progression and is LONG overdue. What?? Other guilds might not get loots? BOOHOO.

Geez. You all sound like you think the server is finished. That's premature. I'm not even convinced that Temerity is dead. I'm hoping that we will be able to raid again come the new year. We will need to replace some bodies, but there is no reason we can't get to recruiting, and if worse comes to worse, we can propose a merger of what is left with DC. The emp will fall, VT will be breeched. You only need one raiding guild of 50+ to do the content in this game. The only question in my mind that you should be asking yourself is: "Do I want to be a part of this"? Danidianya Whitestar

I was thinking more in terms of the people that we will need to recruit to continue our progression might not get loots.

That would be a BOOHOO. Say what you will, the avatar proccing weapons greatly helped our DPS. Of course, if you are never intending on playing further, I could see why you might not care about that point... Danidianya Whitestar

Except you can get avatar proccing weapons in post-wake ST that are easier to get with the same exact stats. The only loot worth mentioning that gets changed post wake are SoDs (which are crap with Luclin/PoP drops), and the monk robe. That's it. Two drops. One of which is subpar and is only thought so highly of because it is a good droppable aggro weapon. And boo fucking hoo is right about DC. It's noone's fault but their own that they've been treading water for nearly the last year. Nihilists! Fuck me. I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos.

Primal weapons stop dropping, but Ancient Prismatic weapons replace them. Everyone would still be able to get an avatar proccing weapon... The only worthwhile item I know of that would no longer drop is the SoD. Many new items would start dropping, including some decent caster stuff, and a lot of new quests would be available. I don't think it should happen, because I don't think the server is dead. Even if it takes DC six months to get there, they're clearly progressing in this direction. If we didn't want to wake the Sleeper before we were done with ST, why should we do it before they're done? For that matter, I agree with Dani that people seem to be writing off Tem too soon. I'd like to think that we still have a guild, and that we don't need to do something like this just because it's our last chance to do it. Also, if you do decide to do it, I think New Year's is a lousy time to do it. Since it's a once-in-a-lifetime event, you'd want everyone to be able to make it, and a lot of people are away over New Year's. Sunra IMO your kind of missing the point..if we can get everyone back..for WHATEVER reason..be it sleeper or raiding nolans momma, i think its our best bet for rekindling interest in Tem. Get people back into the thrill of raiding and going soemwhere where we havnt gone before <sorta>. THAT is the only thing that will bring people back..remind them of what they have been missing. Your getting too hung up on the target and kinda missing the whole point IMO. Killing the Sleeper is perfect. Its kinda new, doesnt require a MASSIVE force, its exciting to permenantly change the server and just might bring many members back.....or we can have it your way and just do nothing?

The weapons even with the avatar proc are far below the weapons available now on the server. At the time we raided there we could not get better so it was a stepping stone to help our dps up for harder targets. Its a spectacle the entire server can enjoy by positioning themselves throughout the various points he goes to on his path of destruction. Lastly when the fuck did Temerity turn into a bunch of sniveling whiners hoping that people will magically appear to help them? God you have become pathetic check yourself. Im not keyed for the sleeper, but I'd love to see him fall. Theres good and bad points to taking him out, but Temerity has the force to do so. I think we should. Just my two cents tho. <img src="http://homepage.mac.com/loonyangel/eqmacsig.jpg"/>

i would pay the 13$ to do this, but paz would need to get a ST key or i would need to play someone who has a key. so why would i wanna wake him? its a huge event, not just some cockblock attempt. ever since probably a year ago, when i first started showing interest in raiding (DC was still fighting kael arena mobs for phat lewt), i have been very interested in sleepers tomb. what got me into raiding was watching that ST video conquest did a long while back when someone had linked it on EQMac. im not desperate to wake the sleeper, but ive always said, if hes gonna be waked im gonna be there. not to mention, ive wanted to see ST for a long while. the event itself sounds like something awesome, a dragon quadding 6000s wiping everything out.i dont think sony intended it to be 'oops we killed too many warders, now we fucked ST', he was meant to be woken at some point. --------------------------

Funny how the people who do not play are all for it... People aren't whining, they're actually putting their opinions out there for those who do not play anymore. Stop acting like a child for once when many do not bow down to whatever is being said. Like I said earlier, IF the server were being taken down permanently then sure, wake the dragon. But it's not and it is the one zone in EQ that is very unique compared to every other server. I find it more pathetic to be under the delusion that Sleeper has to be woken up before subscriptions end. Stop feeling like you need to make your mark for no reason and for once stop with the holier than thou attitudes. Y'all quit remember? I'd be more interested in an EMP attempt than wanting to run some script that changes a couple zones for the worse, imo. If you want this to be a guild raid, than oh no! You need to log in to start helping get peeps keyed.
