Why? We just spent nearly 6 pages estabishing that waking the sleeper really changes nothing equiptment wise...so since there is no earth shattering server change thats going to ruin anyones playing experience why are we suddenly doing joint raids with the server? Is Tem going to have open raidinmg from now on? If not why is this being treated diffrently from any other raid?

Cause it is different from any other raid. And it was put in this forum because Gnat removed his member access. Nihilists! Fuck me. I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos.

/em Xxapp checks his post for "Vast Knowledge" remark, and can't seem to find it.

I said that Temerity had a knowledge "Base" this base included how raids needed to be set up, where people needed to be, CH rotations and what to do and when to do it. It also included a damn good idea of targets and progression of targets. Also having this information and these players helped to motivate and recruit players that were more into the game and would spend the time to research targets and tactics. But I guess in your world this doesn't add up to jack, I guess it was all just dumb luck. I guess Cads being a hard ass with an intense drive to be the best on the server had no effect on others in the guild. I guess Vance's information on raiding had no effect on Temerity's learning curve and was completly usless. I guess they had nothing to do with why more serious players, like you, chose to be in Temerity.

I didn't say or even imply that people have to stay in the first guild that they join and stick it out until the end. I did imply that it is funny as hell that the people that talked the most shit about Temerity one week decided to take the easy road the next, when it suited them.

Wouldn't it have been easier just to say that I am full of shit and... that Briz was not kissing Gnats ass, he just wants his good friend back so they can play? That even though some people joined Temerity when Temerity was already farming keys for ST, they truely "earned our way into sleepers" because... well... ummm... they joined Temerity. That "some members", once they were part of Temerity, they never laughed at their former guild in /gu when they wiped, that it just NEVER HAPPENED! That there is no way that Temerity would ever accept high level toons from other guilds and the only reason that they are still in their guild is because they have no other place to go. That the ex-pceq players were actually dead weight to Temerity and did nothing, it was YOU with your awesome "newb experience", as you put it, that was the total unadulterated driving force behind EVERYTHING that Temerity has ever been. That Temerity never had "little drama, big balls and goals" and never was, or is "the most powerful guild on the server" that I am teribly mistaken about these points. And I guess that there is way more drama in all of the other guilds right now because Temerity has never had, and never will have any drama!

Isn't that what you really wanted to say?

The people involved in the (hypothetical) raid to wake the Sleeper would be mostly Temerity, and the raid would likely be Temerity-lead. There are only a handful of people outside of Temerity who have keys. The actual event, where the Sleeper leaves the tomb, and rampages across a number of zones would be a server-wide event.
