One of the methods spammers use to determine the viability of a forum for spamming is to watch the number of views their spam message gets. So, when you see a spam thread posted, don't even view it. Posting replies like "Please delete this, Nik" or "IBTL!" only encourages them.
Furthermore, clever spammers can place special "images" in their posts which will count as "hits" to their web pages, or worse, contain nasty scripts.
I, or another of the moderators will delete the thread, and all replies. Therefore posting in it is just a waste of time for you, and additional work for us.
