Reposting some old EQ videos from "my time" :)

Found these and re-watched them all... man I miss that time in the game Smile.

PoJ Trial, March 2004

http://www.frivolity.com/eq/movies/poj-trial.html

This was the first successful PoJ trial on Al'Kabor. We had no clue if PoP flagging was broken *for sure* until we completed that trial and definitely could not zone into PoV.

We tried many times to complete the trial that night and this was the "one last try" that did it. This was the first time we really had to deal with the wonderful horse-in-the-wall PoP bug too, heh.

The bitter-sweet hours that followed the high of completing the first trial followed by the low of definitely not being able to get into the tier2 zones were a very defining moment for me in EQ. It's why whenever I log out Kyth, I take her to the place I want her logged out for the last time: the central area in PoJ where you go to access all the trials. That place of all others defines Al'Kabor and my EQMac experiences.

Innoruk, April 2004

http://www.frivolity.com/eq/movies/inny.html

Our first killing of a god. Not the most interesting vid, but here it is anyways.

Sleeper's Tomb, May 2004

http://www.frivolity.com/eq/movies/sleepers.html

You can see some old names and old gear here for sure Smile.

Temerity, the Zerg Force, April 2005

http://www.frivolity.com/eq/movies/zerg-force.html

A compilation vid put together by Shylah with footage from her and me both.

Veeshan's Peak, A Death Story, August 2005

http://www.frivolity.com/eq/movies/vp.html

I don't even remember how many deaths it took me to make that. It was, I think, the first or one of the first forays into VP.

Terris Thule, January 2006

http://www.frivolity.com/eq/movies/tt.html

My first experiment with a more story-telling style.

Sontalak (filmed June 2004, movie made January 2006)

The last movie I finished (I started on, but never finished, an Ssra one to the Bangles' "Walk Like An Egyptian".)

This was made from some old footage I found on my hard disk while cleaning out stuff. It's also story-style, and moreso than the TT one.

Hope you enjoy Smile.

The movie I always wanted to see (but never could find anyone who had a copy, or even who knew what I was really talking about) - the last couple days of Beta, they took a couple groups of peeps and ported them around to kill things. I always wanted to see what that looked like when they did whatever they were going to do with the footage.

I remember that. Most of us on the trip were so clueless then...

I remember on one of the last days of the beta we had a GM come on and get people to the arena in lake rathe for a battle royal.

Most of use were not even remotely close to 65 so he was making us instantly 65 of course not much good without the gear and spells. It was interesting to just see how many more hps it meant even in crap gear. He was instantly rezzing all those that died, back to full hps/mana. I have no idea if anyone even knew how to make a video in those days though.

I was a lowly warrior of lvl 20 though so I died a lot, Aenaen was my name and crap gear was my game, LOL.

I was touring Costa Rica with a brass quintet for the last 2 weeks of beta. I missed all the level bump and stuff. The day I came back, I tried to log on....and was denied! (I cried!)

So 3 days later I went out and plopped down my $50, and Utdaan was born again.
