Highlights of the last decade

Haha! Xegony was my fav raid too. It marked the first time ever Temerity got a break on this server when we engaged her to test her out and she went down first try (you 're welcome, Kaboom). Sure the script was broken, but after 7 years of disappointment after disappointment on this server, I think we were all glad to get one for the good guys.

Other memorable "Big Boss" raids:
1. RZtW - seems simple now, but we took many, many poundings to get the right strat down.
2. Berroxxulous - the first few raids there were like the keystone cops. Mobs being pulled for everywhere and usually on folks meddling in the middle of the pop down room. I seriously never thought we'd figure this one out.
3. The Rathe - Tems' crowning POP achievement. Just an "omg, anything is possible" moment.
4. Coirnav - Amg, the water, the pulling, the adds, the burning...and usually the summoning and dieing too Smile When we Finally killed that nasty squid, it was jubilation and calamari for all!

I'll add more when I can (gotta head to work) but those were the BIG ones that stand out. Look back at all the news posts to see more. They're all documented there! Have a great day all!

We need to update the homepage to show we reached Quarm. I don't want aliens 100000000 years from now thinking no guild on EQMac reached the final boss after 10+ years of trying!!

My favorite raid ever has to be our first kill of VZ. Epic 12-hour raid, where we ran it again and again and again until we got it done. First time I ever really got the up-close view of our magic monks in action, showed an amazing amount of dedication by the entire guild, and it was the first first kill that I was raid leader for. Good times!

1- The best time ever, breaking into VT with volobot, kyth and Sikk (was Sass part of the runs?). DA Run to Blob1, then later DA run to some f'd up boss that required trying to maneuver freaking stairs of hell! DA run through the Deep was a cake walk vs. the time spent doing the VT runs. lol
2- First Emperor kill, although the High Priest event was uber too in SSRA. Soo many moving parts of the raid it was pretty amazing.
3- First TT/Ryda'dar kills. Kiting Gargs, kiting Custodians of Doom... Kiting for the entire event was awesome.
4- INC! Floaty Happiness!
5- Wake the Dead... so many Tems were defiled... Don't think any one person escaped my WTD.

After looking through everything, I didn't really save text or take many screenshots. I guess I always too in the moment or something. Here's two of the aforementioned events from my first post:

I mentioned kiting Draco for like 20mins before, what happened was that I was originally designated the tank with Rowar just providing the much needed DPS and slows. Unfortunately, Draco kept resisting slows, Rowar got a shit ton more agro, and there was no resist song up to cover him from the lifetaps. We wiped miserably, but it took us forever to pull him in the first place, so I tagged him repeatedly a bit while draco fully regenned and then I kited him until Zyg ran back, got rezzed, rebuffed, and got his mana back. After that, we tried again and it was smooth sailing (for like 30mins+, draco has a shitload of HP!).

The aftermath of Pithy and Del vs. JB. To be honest, most of it is hazy for me (Pithy can probably fill stuff in). When we started out, we figured a charm pet, properly buffed, could handle JB relatively easily. And we were right! What I didn't account for, was how fast respawn was in the area we had cleared (because we engaged close to the place where I had popped him). So, midfight we got an add. No prob, Pithy can CC just about anything. Then we got another one. And then we got an archaic add (the unmezzable, permanently pissed off variety). The charm pet was tanking like 3 or 4 mobs I think and yoyo-ing hp wise while Pithy was trying to mez and heal and run from other adds. All the while I'm kiting and mezzing what I can and trying to chip away at JB's HP. Pithy dies sometime amidst the chaos and his pet goes rogue. I open my book mid-fight and unmem my slow (on accident) and my DA. I quickly mem charm and I start chain charming crap and throwing it at JB while Pithy tries his damnedest to keep everything alive. It was the craziest 2-3mins PoI had ever seen.

Although I didn't screenshot many things (hectic gnome escorts through CT with just Zygowar being another cool thing I should have snapped), I did photoshop a bunch of dumb stuff.

I released Tem's secret pulling strat to EQMac in a series of photos. They didn't seem surprised when I told them the Evil Empire used Kittens as bait.

Finally got around to reading through these. Lots of good times. Quotes like this make me wonder how y'all ever put up with me:

Working with a guild who although they worked and raided differently, always worked with us to mutual advantage.

Was a pleasure to be on Al'Kabor with you guys. Destiny salutes you.

My favorite Tem moment was when Tem beat Bert for the first time. I was not in the guild atm but, was online when Tem peeps were shouting in PoK that they had beat Bert for the first time in server history. That was the moment I knew I wanted to be in Tem. It was a moment of hope for AK that EQ could move forward. GRATZ to all that performed that night! Your contribution to AK (at least for me) was inspiring.

I remember it well. http://www.temerityguild.org/tps/viewraid.php?&r=1269

Months of wipes, and server/zone crashes had made that seemingly mathematically-impossible raid very tense. But practice (and lots of VT gear) finally made perfect. On many of those big first kills there was a sense of calm, focused energy that accompanied the winning raid. Just like VZ (yeah i remember that marathon too Zorb) and The Council.

So we going to raid anymore or we too afraid of haxxors?

I just spent the last hour going through old screenies, from my Horde days, all the way up to most recently. Wow, the best guild ever by far, and I missed you guys even while you were still kicking ass in the PoTime without me.

Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Thik and Nesta are gone somewhere in the ether, and I didn't even log in before the shut down to give them a proper burial.

*sad face*

Thanks to all for the /hugs, /bargles, /megachuckles - love you like family!

Thik/JT

P.S. - If I get the time I will post up some of my screenies that moved me.

Yes, much love to Del's photoshopping. You really did a top job soloing mobs (and helping out in VP) Smile
