It sounded from the phpBB site that there were several serious holes in the code. We need to update the version of phpBB running EQMac.com in order to put a stop to this. 

In the changes since 2.0.12 the phpBB site says: 
Fixed high severity issue in session handling allowing everyone gaining administrator rights. Please update as soon as possible. 

EQMac is running on 2.0.11, and will continue to be vulnerable until the version is updated. There were additional issues that were patched in later versions as well, but this is the most severe, and is no doubt the problem we're having here. If it takes money to update, then I'll chip in, as I'm sure will others. If we don't take care of this, the yahoo who keeps hacking the site will have free reign with it. Nobody can get in touch with Khhaaaaaamaaaa at this time for some unknown reason. So, no updates as to what if anything, is happening with eqmac.com

Well, something needs to be said about what is going on with eqmac.  As been said in this <a HREF="/Guild.aspx?GuildID=18065&ForumID=82321&TabID=162866&TopicID=1456964">forum</a>...on Destiny's ... "no news is bad news". 
 
Not having eqmac is going to hurt the server in the long run.  And
Lanbana has a legitimate concern about donations continuing when there
is no status update. 
 
Please, those of you who have any information... please post an update
on eqmac.  Tell us what happened, what the problem is, why the
delay in getting it back and running and what you need done to get it
up again.  Not saying anything at all is not fair nor is it good
for the community.  
 
Good communication is important if we want this server to grow, and we
are still getting some new players so eqmac would be helpful to them or
if need be, a replacement site.. .asap.
