Enchanters joining our raids, please read
#16
Any chanters who were not on the Tactics crawl, btw, this would be a good time to talk to your fellow chanters about mobs with the ability to make very big owies.

We've gotten pretty lax with fast debuffs on untanked or lightly-tanked mobs on our easy crawls, but whenever we're doing anything hard (flurries in NToV, PoP, etc.) it's important to be a lot more disciplined.

I spend far more mana spot healing *you* 2-3 times (or, as is more often the case, rebuffing you after I rez you) than having slow wait a few more seconds to land.

Lest there be accusations of pot calling the kettle black: I also died far more than I should have, especially at the beginning, because I forgot how important it was around big nasty mobs to watch my heal aggro. Starting a CH on incoming, for example, rather than spot healing the tank twice before slow did wonders for keeping me more alive =) (of course sometimes there's nothing you can do, and you as the healer/debuffer/slower are just plain gonna die. Luckily there's usually extras of us around ).

It was good to do something hard again, but, well, hard stuff is hard =).

--
Good points Presto. OFten I'm in the situation of not being a split-tank and being able to grab a mob that has quickly jumped on a caster. It's hard to sit and watch and often I'll grab aggro and pull him aside, giving the message "/rs Tanking blah blah". This doesn't necessarily mean I want to keep tanking him. Just that I've grabbed him off a cloth wearer (Mang is the only exception to this) and I'm holding him till a ST can assist me to grab aggro and I can then jolt the mob away.

Flankar Laetus

Edited by flankar 2/7/2005 9:45 AM (Most Recent)
